You are not imposing, really

I feel it’s time to finally get something off my chest. As many of you know I am a DJ for KONA Radio and I play gigs all over the place. Some are paid gigs, some are cross promotional and some are just as a favor. The first two are business, the last is something I do for good friends. If a friend has a party and they want to play music that is in our playlist I am more than happy to oblige. NO CHARGE. I often hear this “We didn’t want to impose”. “We wanted you to have fun”.

First of all you are not imposing. Period. My passion is my music. It is what I do. Do not for one second think I would forgo the opportunity to share my music with you. Secondly DJing is fun to me, it is not work. If you are concerned that I won’t socialize enough then the easy thing for me to do is to create a 2 hour playlist and let it run automatically. If you want to guarantee that I will not have fun, or even leave then do this: Hire a DJ who plays music I have and  pay them  (Bonus if they suck at what they do). I speak for Ravishal on this too. Our friends are not a chore and neither is our desire to share our music. Please keep that in mind.

Dorian Day Spa

I was invited this past Sunday to the grand opening of the Dorian Day Spa by Bibe Mayo. Seems she thinks I am an acclaimed blogger,that’s debatable but hey , for free sushi and champagne I’ll gladly tour a new sim. Dressed in my black Nicky Ree outfit I arrived and was pleasantly greeted by Bibe and company at the reception area.

This is where you arrive when you come to the sim.

The sim has 4 other locations of note. Two are private buildings where couples or groups can enjoy a mud bath and massages:

Scattered about are some wild, African animals:

There’s a long pier with a small building out into the water

And yet another open structure for gatherings sits between both guest buildings. Mmmm, they had Sushi!

Brother’s keeper

To the point, I am not your mother. I am not your keeper. I do not tell you how to live, think or feel. I do not expect you to do the same to me. I’ll do my best to understand you and accommodate you the best I can. If you are attacked directly I will raise a shield to protect you. One thing I cannot protect is your sensibilities. If I suspect something may offend you I’ll try to steer clear, but don’t depend on me to clear all the obstacles in your way. You, my friend, have offended me on occasion but I did not forsake you. I learned why I was offended and either spoke to you or dealt with it on my own. If my other friends offend you I am sorry. I never put my friends on a leash. If they bite you I’ll spank them. But if they bark I won’t raise a hand to quell your righteous indignation. Especially if you vent your fury at me and not at the person who offended you.

If all we did was cut off the heads off those who didn’t fight our battles we’d have no friends:

I will defend you to no end to be what you want to be, don’t ask me to destroy others for you. Words will only hurt you if you let them. Recognize that and you’ll have a lot less drama in your SLife.

Sailing the Edloe Seas

This will be a picture based post, but then aren’t most of mine?

With the addition of two voids (open Space sims) sailing has become a bit easier to accomplish in the now 7 island continent ( which I like to call Edlovia ). The new voids; Harbour owned by Feline Slade, and Meta Magic Studio owned by Banana Stein. The best travel is Harbour, the channel between Edloe and Woodbridge, the channel between Nowhereville and Los Arboles, and Meta Magic Studio. The other waters are a bit tight and hard to maneuver with a sailboat. A motorboat will fare better though.
